Hononegah School Board Member Vacancy

Hononegah Community High School District #207 is accepting applications to fill the vacancy resulting from the resignation of Jim Minard. The individual selected will serve on the School Board from the date of appointment to April of 2025.

Hononegah strives to create a safe, inspiring, and inclusive atmosphere where students become thoughtful scholars, responsible citizens, and effective leaders through quality educational experiences.

Applicants for the Board vacancy shall, on the date of his or her appointment, be a citizen of the United States of America, 18 years of age or older, a resident of the State of Illinois and the school district for at least one year immediately preceding his or her appointment, registered voter, not be a child sex offender, not have a prohibited interest in any contract with the district and not hold certain types of prohibited State or Federal employment.

Applicants should show familiarity with the Board's policies regarding general duties and responsibilities of a Board and a Board member, including fiduciary responsibilities, conflict of interest, ethics and gift ban.
