Jaime Cox Memorial Run - Sat Oct 1 10:00 am

Roscoe Middle School

Enjoy an active day Jaimie's way! Our nature-based 5K Run/Walk or 2 mile walk will begin at Roscoe Middle School (RMS). The route proceeds west to the historic Stone Bridge Trail before turning south as you continue to pound the crushed limestone path. The event benefits the Jaimie Cox Foundation[more details]


Hanz Brew Fest - Sat Oct 1 12:00 pm

Settlers Park

A festival for beer enthusiasts to celebrate their love of beer while raising a glass (and raising money) for the Todd Hansmeier Memorial Fund. $45 per person gets you a wristband, souvenir glass, and 15 samples. $15 gets you in as a designated driver/spectator. Must be 21 years or older to have beer or a selection of wine from After the Vine. Over 100 beers will be featured from noon until 6 p.m. but I think you must choose 15.  [more details]


Fall Prairie Harvest Day 2022 - Sat Oct 1 9:00 pm

Nygren Wetland Preserve

9 a.m. - 12 noon. Free. Help collect seeds from native wildflowers and grasses which will be used in future prairie plantings at Natural Land Institute preserves. Start anytime and work as long as you like during the event hours of 9 a.m – 12 p.m.. Snacks and water will be provided. Dress for the weather.  [more details]


Last ROAR Carshow - Sun Oct 2 8:00 am

Settlers Park

Presented By Rockton Lions Club. Best of Show and Runner Up prizes. Music By Joe Locke w/Hits DJ. Food truck will be on-site. Free entry for spectators. Show entry fee: $10 in advance, $15 CASH day of event. Categories: Cars: Pre-1950, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000 and up. Trucks: any year. Motorcycles: any year. Awards starting at 2 p.m. 1st, 2nd & 3rd place awards in each class.  [more details]


50 North Senior Activity Group - Tue Oct 4 1:00 pm

Rockton Community Centre

50 North, a senior activity group, will be hosting an event from 1-3 pm. Since October is fire safety month, Chief Wilson from the Rockton Fire Department will be giving a talk on fire prevention.  We will also be serving apple cider doughnuts and cider and there will be games! Rockton Community Blood Drive - Tue Oct 4 2:00 pm

American Legion Banquet Hall

2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Both whole blood and double red donations will be accepted. The Stateline Mass Transit District is partnering with Rock River Valley Blood Bank to offer free rides to any blood donor within the SMTD's service area of Rockton, Roscoe, and South Beloit. Roscoe Lions Blood Drive - Thu Oct 6 12:00 pm

Roscoe United Methodist Church

12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Blood is in desperately short supply right now. Donors will receive a Culver's Pint for Pint coupon for free ice cream (frozen custard). [more details]


Vintage Shop Hop - Fri Oct 7 9:00 am

9 Locations in Roscoe and Rockton

Friday & Saturday, Oct. 7-8. The Vintage Shop Hop is a self-guided day of vintage & boutique shopping held twice a year - 400+ vintage & antique shops, along with barn sales, women's boutiques & home decor shops in northern Illinois and much of Wisconsin to roll out the red carpet for you. [more details]
