Providing therapy and counseling to children, teens, and adults has been a passion for Kathleen Cox. She grew up in Harvard, Illinois, and attended Northern Illinois University where she earned her bachelor and master’s degree in counseling and therapy.
After working as a therapist at several agencies and counseling centers in the Rockford area, Cox opened a therapy center in Main Street Square on Williams Drive in Roscoe, Illinois from 2008 to 2014.
In 2014, Cox moved her counseling business down the street to 5290 Williams Drive. She shares the building with Mike Frank State Farm Insurance Agency.
There are currently five full-time and five part-time mental health providers in the counseling group:
“There are many ways to deal with mental health,” Cox said. “It’s important to have connection with our clients. We offer Experiential Therapy that can include art, music, play therapy, talk therapy, Jungian Psychology and Cognitive/Behavioral Psychology.”
“We specialize in mood disorders, family conflict and developing coping skills for individuals, couples and families.”
Cox said the therapists see a wide arrange of clients, from age five through the elderly.
“Our goal is to create balance in your life and find your full potential for wellness.”
