Michael Golden (1955-2022): builder, fisherman, technician, and father

Michael Eugene Golden, 66, of Rockton, IL, left us, surrounded by his friends and family, on Monday, February 14, 2022. He was born December 9, 1955. Michael was a strong, loving and supportive father. He enjoyed cooking large meals for his family and spending time in his fishing boat with his friends and children. He was an enthusiast of technology, and had a career in home construction, followed by work as a field service engineer at Motorola.

Michael was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Robert, and two siblings, Emily and Burnie. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia; his siblings, Mary Ann, Helen and Kenneth; his children, William, Jessie, Julia, James and Emma; and step-children, Sarah, Rebekah and Andrew.

Michael was a passionate husband and father and will be sorely missed by many.

A private family service was held.
