Theresa Marie Saeger (1965-2021) liked being with friends and family.

Theresa Marie Saeger, 56, of Rockton, Illinois passed away Thursday November 11, 2021 at 8:33 a.m. in Javon Bea Hospital, Riverside Campus. She was born on September 3, 1965 in Rockford, Illinois, the daughter of John and Nancy (Cain) Goebel.

She was surrounded by her loving children Michael and Katie Saeger, sister Kacy Krause and life-long friend Vanessa Feldman.

Theresa's interests and hobbies were being with friends and family. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt (Bunny) (Tessa) Nana and friend.

Survivors include her daughter Katherine (Ami) Saeger; son Michael Saeger; parents John and Nancy Goebel; grandchildren Emily, Evan, Abbi, Katie, Kristin, Christopher, Billy, Jeremy; baby sister Kacy (Michael) Krause and younger sister Corene (Harold) Combs; nieces and nephews, Kenzi (Ben) Weidenhammer, Nick Krause and Cam Krause, Mitchell and Seth Combs, Sheila (Howie) Nichols and Sheila's children Audi and Howard III; aunts and uncles; Gail(Ed) Vitell, Theresa (Arnie) Upson, Kathy Cantrell, Joan (Rich) Orlikoski, Helen (Pete) Sampson, MaryBeth (Roberto) Hernandez, Pat Goebel, Marion (Greg) Erdmeier, along with numerous loving cousins and best friends Vanessa Feldman, Sharon Sands, and Pam Gagliano.

She was preceded in death by husband George Zimmerman, grandparents Finley and Thelma Cain, William and Mary Goebel, aunt Lou Gadow, niece Jesse and nephew Mitchel Krause.

A funeral ceremony will be held on Wednesday November 17, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the McCorkle Funeral Home-Rockton Chapel, 767 N. Blackhawk Blvd. with Pastor Dan Herman officiating. Burial will be in Rockton Township Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions and not being able to have large gatherings, there will not be a luncheon after the burial.
