Recently, it was announced that South Beloit senior bowler James Strong has committed to 2025-2026 National Champion Rock Valley College to compete on the Bowling team. James Strong qualified for the 2025-2026 IHSA Bowling Championships earlier this year. James helped lead South Beloit to the NIBC conference championship this year.

The Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program (ITEP) will provide 90% of the funding for the bike path.
Roscoe Township has issued a request for proposals for the design, construction and installation of an electronic message sign and monument at Cross Park. Proposals are due May 12.
