Why did you decide to run?
I love this community. My wife, Mandi, and I are raising our four kids here, and I want to make sure Roscoe remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family. I first ran because I saw areas where we could improve, whether it was government transparency, responsible spending, or making sure residents had a real voice in decisions that affect them. Since being elected, I’ve worked hard to push for common-sense policies that keep our community strong, and I want to keep that going.
Tell us about your background and accomplishments that you bring to the table.
Professionally, I work in construction as a heavy equipment operator and I also have a background in design, which has given me a good understanding of infrastructure, planning, and how tax dollars should be spent wisely.
As a Trustee, I’ve been focused on putting residents first. Some of the things I’ve worked on include:
- Making government more transparent by giving residents access to the same board packet information we use to make decisions.
- Standing up for residents’ rights, like when I fought to keep neighborhood garage sales.
- Lowering property taxes while still working to improve services.
- Voting against an irresponsible $3M deficit budget that had no clear plan.
- Securing a $600,000 grant to expand Porter Park.
- Pushing for strategic planning so Roscoe can grow the right way.
- Investing in public safety by supporting an increase in our police force.
What do you hope to accomplish in this office in the future?
I want to keep Roscoe moving in the right direction by focusing on:
- Stronger infrastructure investments, better roads, better parks, and smart growth.
- Responsible budgeting, no more wasteful spending, and making sure tax dollars are used wisely.
- Public safety, continuing to invest in our police department and first responders.
- Economic growth, supporting local businesses and making Roscoe a place where new businesses want to come.
- Community involvement, making sure residents stay informed and have a real say in village decisions.
Why should people vote for you?
I’m not a career politician. I’m just a husband, dad, and hard-working guy who wants to make sure our community stays strong. I’ve already shown that I’m willing to stand up for residents, fight against wasteful spending, and push for improvements that actually make sense. I believe in common-sense leadership, making sure tax dollars are spent wisely, and always keeping Roscoe’s best interests at heart.
