Margaret Downing has been a reporter for Rock Valley Publishing for the past 30 years, writing a history column for The Herald for about 15 years, She says it was mostly selected from the work of Rockton Herald editor Edson Irving Carr (1831-1902), whose witty writing style has been an example for Rockton-Roscoe News as well.
