Since Roscoe News published its first article in April 2021, we've also been covering events in Rockton too. Now we're making it official, changing our name to Rockton-Roscoe News.
For several reasons, of course, the change makes sense.
- Most importantly, for 20 years the residents of both Rockton and Roscoe have enjoyed the work of our reporter Jean Seegers in The Herald.
- As early as 1877, the Rockton Herald included news from Roscoe too. From 1986 to 1999, the newspaper, now known as The Herald, was even named the Rockton Roscoe Herald.
- Most people driving on Hononegah Road and Rockton Road don't know or care where Roscoe ends and Rockton begins, do we?
