- Rockton Garden Works sadly announced in April that it would be closing. What will take its place? Patricia Diduch, Rockton's Planning & Development Administrator, says she hopes it's "another retail business that adds to the Downtown Rockton shopping variety," observing that customers go downtown for "experiences, not necessarily for everyday purchases."
- Speaking of experiences, next Saturday is Rockton Pelican Fest, a free, family friendly festival full of experiences on Saturday, May 17, 2025, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., with about five venues, including Nygren Wetlands, and about 19 booths. And speaking of gardens, the Roscoe Gardening Club's Plant Sale sold out yesterday.
