Rockton Garden Works sadly announced in April that it would be closing. What will take its place? Patricia Diduch, Rockton's Planning & Development Administrator, says she hopes it's "another retail business that adds to the Downtown Rockton shopping variety," observing that customers go downtown for "experiences, not necessarily for everyday purchases."
Speaking of experiences, next Saturday is Rockton Pelican Fest, a free, family friendly festival full of experiences on Saturday, May 17, 2025, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., with about five venues, including Nygren Wetlands, and about 19 booths. And speaking of gardens, the Roscoe Gardening Club's Plant Sale sold out yesterday.
