3-7 p.m. The Village of Roscoe, together with elev815 and the Harlem-Roscoe Fire Protection District invites you to join us on Main Street. 
There will be music, baby rein-goats, games and prizes and crafts for kids at the Fire Station, food trucks at Main Street Square, choirs from all the local schools, soup and gospel music at Roscoe United Methodist Church, letters to Santa at Village Hall, cookies, hot chocolate, and a friendly snowball fight, with wassail and an appearance by Santa. [more details]

Bowl Painting Workshop For Survivors - Sat Dec 9 10:00 am

Nature At The Confluence

According to the Japanese art of Kintsugi, there is beauty in mending what has been broken. In this interactive art workshop, therapists from Stateline Mental Health Services will guide participants in painting, breaking, and repairing ceramic bowls that represent the journey of trauma. During the lunch hour, participants can choose to take a guided walk on our nature trails, talk one on one with a therapist, or get lunch, before resuming. [more details]

The story behind Twas the Night Before Christmas. Listen to readings of the story in the historic Mack House at 2:10, 2:50, and 3:30 p.m. Join us as we explore the traditions, revelry, and observations of what Christmas season meant to the early residents of Macktown and Illinois in the first half of the 19th century.

This is the second step in your crocheting journey. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll receive your own set of hooks and a skein of yarn. We’ll discuss more advanced types of stitches and techniques.
