Harlem Roscoe firefighters were dispatched to Stateline Road near South Beloit shortly after midnight July 3, 2022. According to Fire Chief Don Shoevlin, they found a "single family two-story home with heavy fire on all sides." of the structure. Water tenders from neighboring departments had to help bring water to fight the fire. Some pets perished, but firefighters and family members escaped injury. Chief Shoevlin said, "We would like to thank all of the departments that helped us this morning... The cause of the fire is under investigation."
