Tim Young was an accomplished machine tool builder

Timothy Young (1955-2022)

Timothy L. Young, 67, of Rockton, IL, started every morning with a cup of coffee and the crossword puzzle in the newspaper.  He enjoyed anything to do with space, especially Star Trek, and liked going to the gun range. Tim was a very strong willed man who loved his family.

He passed away suddenly, Friday, December 9, 2022 in his home.

Tim was an accomplished machine tool builder for Mattison Machine and Bourn Koch and Sons. He was born September 19, 1955 in Warsaw, Indiana, the son of Edward C. and Elaine (Slominski) Young. He graduated from Guilford High School and went on to serve in the United States Army and the Army Reserves. He married the love of his life, Jamie Wise, on June 4, 1983 in Rockton, IL. 

Tim is survived by Jamie, his wife of 39 years; son Adam Young; grandson Ayden Petersen; furry babies Bear and Piper; mother Elaine Young; stepmother Barbara Young; siblings Terry (Boo) Young and Karen Young; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law Sue (John) Rodgers and Leslie Wise. He was preceded in death by his father Edward, brothers Pat and Scott Young; and brother-in-law Mike Wise.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring or summer of 2023. Cremation rites have been accorded.
