Brian P. Tracy, 66, of Rockton, IL was employed as a quality manager for various manufacturing companies in Northern Illinois. He retired in 2012. Brian then pursued a career in real estate investing.

He died at 6:50 a.m., Friday, October 28, 2022 in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Brian was born August 10, 1956 in Rochelle, IL, the son of Gerald and MaryEllen (Butler) Tracy. He graduated from Rochelle High School in 1975 and Illinois State University in 1979. Brian married Deborah Tansor in Peoria, IL on May 24, 1980. 



Brian was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Rockton, IL. He served as the church treasurer, installed and operated the sound system, and helped in all areas of the church. A member of the Roscoe Masonic Lodge #75 A.F. & A.M. and Beloit Rifle Club. Brian enjoyed golfing, fishing, woodworking, photography, traveling, especially Key Largo, FL, spending time with friends and family.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Swedish American Hospital and Unity Hospice for all their tender loving care given to Brian.

Survivors include wife Deborah; daughter Sara (Mike) Barnhart; son Stephen Tracy; grandchildren Isaac, Reuben, Josiah and Silas; sister Susan (Tom) Hillson; brother Brent (Karen) Tracy; sister-in-law Cindy Beckmann; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and brother Bruce Tracy.

A memorial ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 4, 2022 in Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2336 Freeport Rd, Rockton, IL with Reverend Bob Castro officiating. Cremation rites are to be accorded. A visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of ceremony.
