- The Village of Roscoe Board of Trustees directed Village Administrator Josef Kurlinkus to prepare an amendment that reduces his purchasing authority from $5,000 to $2,500 unless he has prior Village Board approval. So he prepared it. In his report to the board, Kurlinkus writes, "While no specific rationale was provided by the Board in support of the requested revision—nor were any examples cited in which the changes set forth in this ordinance would have resulted in a different financial or procedural outcome—the attached ordinance reflects the proposed language for formal consideration." If passed, the amendment would put the same limitation on Village President Carol Gustafson.
- At the Sept. 16 meeting, the Roscoe board will be presented with bills totaling $262,919.47. That would leave $8,273,339.71 in the Village's General Fund and $2,005,089.36 in the Motor Fuel Fund, which is used for road expenses.
