Ironman 70.3 rolls through Rockton on Sunday, with downtown shops and Summerpalooza ready to welcome crowds
Rockton will be buzzing long before the first cyclists sweep down Main Street on Sunday morning, as the Ironman 70.3 returns through Rockton with a bike route that cuts straight through the heart of our village. With racers expected on June 14, 2026 between 9:45 a.m. and 1 p.m., many downtown businesses are adjusting hours, offering specials, and preparing for one of the most energetic days of the summer.
The Village of Rockton is pairing the race with its first Summerpalooza – Health & Wellness Block Party, running 2–7 p.m. in downtown Rockton. The event is designed to keep families in town after the race, with kids’ activities, music, and hands‑on attractions.
“We want people cheering on the athletes in the morning and staying to celebrate Rockton in the afternoon,” Monique Weaver, the village’s Community Promotions Coordinator stated . “It’s a full‑day experience—fitness, family, and community.”

Summerpalooza brings the block‑party feel
The Village’s Summerpalooza event is the first of three themed block parties planned for the season. Sunday’s focus is Health & Wellness, with activities designed to keep families active and engaged.
According to event details, the afternoon will include:
- Triathlon‑themed kids’ activities
- Live, relaxing musical entertainment
- Touch‑a‑Truck, featuring two large vehicles for kids to explore
- Space for families to gather, unwind, and enjoy downtown after the race crowds thin out
Organizers encourage residents to come downtown early to support Ironman athletes during the bike leg, then stay for the block party atmosphere.
“This is what small‑town summer is all about—neighbors outside, kids laughing, and our downtown full of life,” shop owners said.

A full day for Rockton
With Ironman athletes pushing through the village in the morning and Summerpalooza taking over in the afternoon, Rockton is poised for one of its most vibrant Sundays of the year. Roads will be busy, sidewalks will be full, and local businesses are ready to welcome both visitors and hometown regulars.
Whether you’re cheering on racers, shopping very local, or bringing the kids to Summerpalooza, Sunday offers a rare chance to see Rockton at its most energetic—one part endurance race and one part block party.

Thank you to all the businesses that shared what they were doing for this awesome day with us. Good Luck and enjoy one of the best days this summer.
