Kerry Recognized with Green Masters® Certification and Top Honors at WSBC Annual Conference

The certification was one of several Kerry sustainability honors announced by the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council at its 2023 Annual Sustainability Awards.

Beloit, WI, December 4, 2023 — Kerry, a market leader in Taste and Nutrition, is proud to announce that it recently received its second consecutive Green Masters® certification, highlighting its commitment to sustainable practices and innovation. The Green Masters program, which aligns with internationally recognized standards, emphasizes continuous improvement in the systematic integration of sustainability initiatives into business systems. The company was also recognized as the top Wisconsin manufacturer in the field of waste management and reduction from the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council. Furthermore, Kerry emerged as one of the three finalists for Wisconsin's Sustainable Product of the Year for its Upcycled Certified® Chicken Broth.

The Green Masters Program is a tool for businesses to define, prioritize, measure and manage their sustainability performance and integrate sustainability programs into corporate systems. This year's certification holds special significance for Kerry, as the scoring criteria underwent substantial enhancements. The updated evaluation now covers a broader spectrum, including environmental impacts, social impacts, workforce considerations, and governance and leadership. Despite the increased rigor, Kerry not only maintained its Green Master status but also underscored its dedication to comprehensive sustainability practices.
