A former magazine editor and webmaster, Michael McGinnis moved back to the Midwest from Texas in 2015. He graduated from a small Indiana college 40 years ago with a degree in Communications and Theater Arts. His wife, an Illinois native who likes snow, is a part-time professional food taster in Beloit. His son is a student at Hononegah Community High School.
