Roger Bruce Gable, 81, of Roscoe, passed away in his home on March 26, 2022. Roger was a lifelong resident of Roscoe, Illinois, and graduated from Hononegah High School, class of 1958. Roger worked at Woodward Governor in Loves Park, Illinois for 34 years, where he retired one day before his 55th birthday. He was born July 26, 1940.
Roger enjoyed countless hobbies such as tennis, golf, hunting, wood carving, and collecting things. He also enjoyed his property where he lived the life of his dreams with his beloved dog Sally, otherwise known as “The Queen.”
Roger is survived by his children Kevin (Debbie) Gable and Carolynn Gable of Roscoe; grandchildren Aiden Gable, Thomas and Paul Tackeberry, Brady Sympson, and a very special young lady named Rachel; brother Glen (Elaine) Gabel of Roscoe, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, brothers Louis and David, and sisters Bonnie and Nancy.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. in Honquest Family Funeral Homes - Roscoe Chapel, 11342 Main Street. Memorial visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.
