Two-Vehicle Crash on W. Rockton Road Sends Three to Hospital
All three trapped occupants were successfully freed from the vehicle and transported to the hospital for evaluation.
At approximately 5:24 p.m. Monday Sept 7 2026, Rockton Fire Protection District responded to a two‑vehicle crash near the intersection of W. Rockton Road and Eunice Drive. Crews arrived to find one vehicle with heavy damage and three occupants trapped inside. Firefighters initiated extrication while additional agencies were requested to the scene, including Harlem-Roscoe Fire, South Beloit Fire, REACT Helicopter, MD‑1, Rockton Police, and the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office.
A second vehicle was located in a nearby ditch. Its lone occupant had self‑extricated prior to emergency crews arriving.
All three trapped occupants were successfully freed from the vehicle and transported to the hospital for evaluation. The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the crash.
