2024 Freeport IHSA boys bowling regional champions.

The Hononegah Indians boy's bowling team won the 2024 Freeport Bowling regional last week, on January 17, 2024, taking home the crown by defeating Harlem, Dakota, Dixon, and 10 other programs.

Senior Charlie Hunt advanced to last Saturday's sectional at Don Carter Lanes. Charlie rolled a 1,426 on January 20, which was 77 pins better than the 2nd place finisher Kamryn Pfeiffer of Rockford East.

Last Saturday’s sectional was not the best day of bowling for the Indians team or any individual bowler but at 6th place, Hononegah was able to get into the state team finals by outlasting 7th place Belvidere by 8 pins (5,967 Hononegah and 5,967 Belvidere).

The IHSA State Final Tournament is on January 26 and January 27 at the St Clair Bowl in O’Fallon.

The Hononegah Indians girls’ bowling team will compete at Don Carter Lanes for the regional on February 3, 2024. The Lady Indians still have four regular season matches.
