Heart disease is one of America's leading health problems, yet its causes and prevention are still widely misunderstood. The human heart beats 3,600 times per hour, 24 hours each day, and we don't even have to think about it.

Join Karen Radtke of Integral Health Solutions on Thursday, Mar. 9, 2023 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Firehouse Pub in Roscoe to learn about "3 Common Myths About Heart Disease." The public is invited.

Karen Radtke has been a Holistic Board Certified Nurse Practitioner for more than 20 years. Nurse practitioners or Advance Practice Nurses are increasingly respected as primary care health providers. Radtke has worked with OSF Medical Group, Beloit Memorial Hospital, and others. She was also an Assistant Professor of Nursing for many years. She speaks with authority, but also listens with encouragement.

One emphasis of Radtke's practice is to help women reverse Type 2 diabetes using unique, nutrition-based solutions.

The lunch and learn event is co-sponsored by elev815, a volunteer group with roots in Rockton and Roscoe, committed to supporting our community, our youth, and our businesses.

Firehouse Pub is at 10670 Main Street, Roscoe, IL 61073. Please arrive at 11:30 a.m. to order your lunch. The presentation will begin at 12:00 noon.
