Driver taken to hospital after collision with tree

WIFR reports that a jeep hit a pine tree in Roscoe about 3 p.m. Sunday, Mar. 5, 2023. The serious collision took place about four blocks east of Main Street in downtown Roscoe, in the 5800 block of Belvidere Road. Jen Lanagan, a relative of the driver, said on Facebook that he had possibly suffered a heart attack before the crash.

As of Monday meeting,  a spokesperson for the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office said the unidentified victim was still in critical condition at the hospital. The investigation was still ongoing. We have also asked Harlem-Roscoe Fire for more details.
