Roscoe Township Community Center
Two days: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Do you have original photos, documents, letters, or other items which offer insight into the Roscoe area's past? Join in this Community Scan Day to preserve your documents as well as contribute to a local history community digital collection. Roscoe Historical Society will keep copies for our digital archives with your permission. We are seeking items that reflect local history, people, places, and events - in particular, photos of local scenes, buildings, and events in the Roscoe area. [more details]
Macktown Living History
2 - 4 p.m.
$5.00 admission. Join us for a hands-on educational program on the predecessor of archery: the atlatl (spear-thrower).
The historic buildings of Macktown will also be open. Come learn how the early natives of this area used their environment and the natural resources for their day-to-day needs of food, clothing and shelter.
See and handle the tools they used and learn how they were made.
Chop wood with a stone ax. Try your hand at bringing down dinner with an atlatl. [more details]

Come join us for a movie and popcorn at our next 50 North event. The movie, a comedy, starts at 1 p.m. at the Community Centre in Rockton. Village of Roscoe
The semi-monthly meeting of the Village of Roscoe Board of Trustees. After the regular board meeting, the trustees reconvene as the Committee of the Whole to talk over future plans and ideas. Citizens are invited to give public comments to the board at the beginning and end of each meeting.

Nature at the Confluence
Friday, April 21, 12:00p.m.- 4:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 22, 9:00 a.m. –11:00 a.m. (or while supplies last). You are invited to pick up a free bare-root oak or hickory sapling to take home and plant. We will have red oak, burr oak, white oak, and hickory saplings available and you can take up to three per household. Each sapling is 1-2 feet long and will need to be planted in a pot or in the ground within a few days of pick up. [more details]
