Everyone is invited. Everyone is welcome. And everyone is encouraged to come celebrate the arrival of spring at the Rockton May Day Faerie Festival.
Whether you’re bringing kids, meeting friends, or simply looking for a reason to enjoy the outdoors, Settlers Park will be the place to be this Saturday.
As the first major outdoor community event of the season, the Faerie Festival has grown into one of Rockton’s most joyful spring traditions. More than 40 vendors will fill the park with handmade art, wellness offerings, books, baked goods, crafts, and faerie‑themed creations. Food and drink options range from lemonade to pizza to festival favorites like Disco Chicken and Sizz N Fizz.
But what truly sets this event apart is its schedule of interactive activities woven throughout the day — each one inviting families to participate, explore, and celebrate together.

A Day of Activities Across Settlers Park
12:00 p.m. — Maypole Dancing (Hawick Street Entrance near the Flagpole)
The German Society of Rockford leads the traditional Maypole dance, a lively and colorful kickoff to the afternoon. Ribbons, music, and movement set the tone for a day built on community connection.
12:30 p.m. — Parade Through Settlers Park to the Labyrinth
Families, kids, and costumed faeries parade together from the flagpole to the park’s labyrinth. It’s one of the most photographed moments of the festival and a highlight for children who love joining the procession.
1:00 p.m. — Labyrinth Walk (World Labyrinth Day Global Event)
Participants are invited to “Walk as One at 1,” joining thousands around the world who walk labyrinths at the same hour for peace and unity. It’s a quiet, reflective moment in the middle of a lively day.
