City Nature Challenge and Volunteer Work Day at Angelic Organics Learning Center

Join our volunteer restoration team on Saturday, May 1st from 10am-12pm and help us take part in the annual City Nature Challenge.  We'll learn how to use iNaturalist to take and tag pictures on our smart phone, then take a hike through our natural area in search of plants and animals to record and share.  Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy after the hike.

If you're up for the challenge stay for the volunteer work day from 12pm to 4pm.  We'll be removing honeysuckle and buckthorn in order to restore our Oak Savanna and forest areas. Cutting equipment is provided, or you can bring your own.  Please bring your own work gloves and water bottle.  Wear sturdy closed toe shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty.

This is a free event.  But please register for each person attending, so we know how many participants to expect.

While this is a family friendly event, our volunteer work days are best suited for children 12 and up.
