Mar. 27, 2026:
Joel F. Lorr, 85, Rockton
An Army veteran, he was recruited by International Harvester after college. He was an avid fisherman, birder, and gardener. Later in life, he served in the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office in Colorado.

Apr. 6, 2026:
Shelvie J. Green, 87, Roscoe
She lived on Nestlewood Drive.
Apr. 10, 2026:
Gloria J. Prather, 75, Roscoe
Crafty and creative, she loved the outdoors. If you went to her house, it was impossible to leave hungry. She had a deep love for cats.When the opportunity arose, she loved to play slots.

Apr. 14, 2026:
John H. Fisher, 84, Rockton
He was vice president of Fisher’s Appliance. At one time, he owned 28 cars. He actively competed in water skiing when able and played softball into his 70’s. He and his wife could be found singing karaoke together.

Joseph Jansen, 65, Beloit
He valued his independence and enjoyed getting around town on his electric bike. He was a friendly and talkative person who enjoyed conversations with anyone he met.

Apr. 16, 2026:
Melanie D. Meyer, 47, Roscoe
She began her career at Chrysler and later became a respiratory therapist. She was raised in Roscoe and graduated from Hononegah High School and Rock Valley College.

Apr. 18, 2026:
Carl S. Barnes, 91, Roscoe
Carl served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was active in the Fraternal Order of Eagles, VFW, American Legion and Moose Lodge. He retired from Chrysler after more than twenty years. He and his wife enjoyed ballroom dancing every weekend.
