Candy sushi? Really? Talcott Library has the recipe.
Owen Czaja and Emily Marshall created and ate their unique candy sushi treats at the January teen activity event held at Talcott Library, January 20, 2024.

Sushi is not everyone’s cup of tea, but how about candy sushi?

On Saturday, January 19, 2024, a group of teen crafters got together at Talcott Free Library, 101 E. Main Street in Rockton, to assemble and eat the sweet alternative.

A plate of candy sushi looks inviting.

Teen Program Director Hana Faedness hosted and coordinated the event, open to 6th -12th grade students. All supplies and materials were provided.

Here’s the recipe to build your own candy sushi:

Ingredients

  • Fruit roll-up strips- any flavor
  • Rice Krispie treats
  • Assorted gummy worms and/or other candies.

Directions:

  • Flatten Rice Krispie treats, wrap fruit rolls around the Rice Krispies, squash into a circle, then press candy gummies into the sushi roll.
