Michael founded Rockton-Roscoe News in 2021 after being laid off from his previous job. Since then, his work has been honored by the Illinois Press Association. He studied communications and theater arts at a small Indiana college.

Head-on crash west of Rockton claims at least one life
The passenger escaped the burning SUV and was treated and released, but the driver, Russell Moore of Durand, was killed.
