• Approval of a 3-year license for TranslateLive ($2,499) to help the police department communicate more effectively.

• Renewal of a multi-factor authentication system for VPNs ($1,292.80) to keep village systems secure.

• Approval of a maintenance agreement with Garcea Technologies.

• Approval of the special events application for the May Day Faerie Festival, scheduled at Settler's Park on May 3, 2025, from 10 am to 4 pm.

Village of Roscoe 

Zoning Board of Appeals

Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 5:30 pm

Location: Roscoe Village Hall

The Zoning Board of Appeals agenda includes:

• Planned Unit Development (PUD): A proposal by Rogue Event Rentals LLC for properties at 13000 and 13019 N 2nd Street. Plans include a storage facility for inflatables, updated landscaping, and zoning flexibilities. Staff recommends approval with conditions, including parcel combination, by March 2025.

• Design Review: Approval of a 700-square-foot accessory storage structure at 11212 Main Street by applicant Roscoe Glass. 

• Special Use Permit: A public hearing to approve a special use permit for R & L Auto Body, an auto body and repair business located at 5414 Edith Lane. 

Residents are encouraged to join and share their input during the public comment period (limited to three minutes per speaker).

South Beloit City Council

Monday, January 6, 2025, at 5:00 pm

Location: South Beloit City Hall

The City Council will tackle several important issues, including:

• Fire Dispatch Agreement: Approval of an intergovernmental agreement with Winnebago County for fire dispatch services.

• Property Sale: Authorization to sell city-owned personal property.

• Service Agreements: Approval of a marketing partnership with Utility Service Partners Private Label, Inc. and an impound agreement with Greater Rockford Auction for motor vehicle towing and storage services.
