Volunteer with the South Beloit Recycle Center

 624 Eastern Avenue, S. Beloit, IL 61080

You can begin volunteering at the South Beloit Recycle Center to keep our area clean and green! You'll be working outside, safely lifting light loads, and transferring clean recyclable items into specific receptacles for further processing in the recycling process.  Minimum age is 14. Ages 14 & 15 need to be accompanied by an adult and 16 & 17 year olds MUST have a parent signature. If you are unable to work your shift, please call 815-670-5175 by 4 pm the Friday before.

Items accepted at the Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful Recycle Centers are listed at www.knib.org or there are flyers on-site. Please don't accept anything that is not on the list. Notes: No pizza boxes or any paper or cardboard with grease on it. Only auto batteries. No ink or toner cartridges. Please check with the on-site supervisor for changes. Please be prepared for any weather and wear sturdy shoes. No open toe shoes! You will be notified if we decide to close if the wind chill is 0 or below or the heat index is above 95 by email. So glad you can join us; have fun!
