Truck or Treat Halloween extravaganza coming back to Roscoe on October 21
Last year well over 1,000 attendees descended on Porter Park for the free, family-oriented festivities.
Back by popular demand, the Village of Roscoe is bringing back the Truck or Treat Halloween extravaganza. The inaugural event was a huge hit last year, when well over 1,000 attendees descended on Porter Park for the free, family-oriented festivities.
The second annual Truck or Treat will be held Saturday, October 21, from 3-6:00 PM at Porter Park, 6545 Windflower Lane, Roscoe, IL.
A colorful balloon arch will again welcome families as they walk along the path lined with Halloween decorations and activities for all ages. The event is sponsored by local businesses.
Following the truck theme, kids can explore vehicles from the Roscoe Police Department, Harlem-Roscoe Fire Department and Roscoe Public Works. Activities also include signing a plow and chalk painting a school bus from First Student Transportation.
It wouldn’t be Halloween without lots of candy and treats for the kids, and plenty of games, prizes, photo ops and some surprises you won’t want to miss.
But let’s not forget the food trucks: Visitors can purchase delicious island cuisine from Roscoe’s own “The Vice”, or freshly-made pizza from Pizza Fresca and Mario’s Tacos. Kona Ice will be there serving shaved ice treats.
Local businesses and volunteers are welcome to donate children’s prizes, participate in the pumpkin decorating contest, or join the Trunk or Treat line of vehicles. Please email info@villageofroscoe.com for more information.
