Strong spirits: trust
Fear freezes us, gets us stuck. Trust, rightly placed, sets us free.

Have you ever thought about how much you are called on to trust in your daily life? We all are, every single day. Some of that trust is justified. Some is not. While I try to be trustworthy, I know I have let people down. Who do you trust? Who do you not trust?
Generally speaking, we trust people we know the best and love the most. It is hard - and maybe not wise - to trust strangers, or anyone who has proven themselves untrustworthy, false, sketchy.
The one person you can always trust is God. Why? Because he loves us the most. It doesn't always seem that way. Sometimes he allows us to struggle, to allow our faith to grow stronger.
King Solomon wrote "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5,6)
Trust is faith in action, and the opposite of fear. Fear freezes us, gets us stuck. Trust, rightly placed, sets us free. I encourage you to put your trust in God today, and live the full life he has for you!
