Strong spirits: nothing to fear, nothing to worry about, nothing to fret
The only peace the world gives is absence of conflict, a very fleeting thing.
Besides joy, here is something else you simply must have if you are going to live your life as God intends...
"Peace is what I leave with you; it is my own peace I give you. I do not give it as the world does. Do not be worried and upset; do not be afraid." Jesus to his friends (John 14:27)
"Don't worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking him with a thankful heart. And God's peace, whch is far beyond human understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with Christ Jesus." Paul the apostle (Philippians 4:6,7)
"You, Lord, give perfect peace to those who keep their purpose firm and put their trust in you. Trust in the Lord forever; he will always protect us." Isaiah the prophet (Isaiah 2:3,4)
The only peace the world can give is an absence of conflict, a very fleeting thing. God gives us peace in the midst of conflict and trial. His peace is based on his love, and his desire and ability to help.
If we know him, and trust him, and have given ourselves fully to him, we have nothing to fear, nothing to worry about, nothing to fret.
Do you know him like that? You can....
Have a great week!
