Strong spirits: working together
We can neither be nor do what God intends if we stand alone.
Do you do better working alone or working with others? It sort of depends, right? If I have a project that is totally mine to complete, I will be better working on my own. But even then I usually need help. And most projects are too big for me alone. I need help. I need others joining in. I need my community.
In whatever work we do for God, generally speaking, God wants us to work together. He knows that we will be more effective that way. Plus he wants us to be a community of friends and coworkers, a family of faith.
God's intention is "to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up, until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ." (Ephesians 4:12,13)
We can neither be nor do what God intends if we stand alone. We need one another. Ask God to help you find your place in his community, and work for him, with others, every day.
