South Beloit fails to keep up against West Carroll
Despite their strong offense and defense, the SOBOs faced a loss to the West Carroll Thunder on Oct. 25.
Last Friday night, Oct. 25, 2024, the SOBOs brought the West Carroll Thunder home for their senior night, where the cheer, band, and football seniors were announced and honored, but the football team faced a loss with the score 36-26.
West Carroll came with a supportive crowd, as did South Beloit, with both bleachers filled despite the cold, dry conditions that night. Hoping to gain another win after the varsity football team swept CLKCD, the SOBOs kept a good pace up to the third quarter, with a half-time score of 22-14.
Some key touchdowns were from the junior #4 Cameron Meister, all plays bringing a rise in the crowd. On the defensive side of things, senior player #72 Keyon Floyd along with sophomore player #23 Garrett Ludtke led the team in tackles.

Despite their strong offense and defense, the SOBOs just couldn't keep up throughout the fourth quarter, slowly falling behind and West Carroll rising up in score. This weekend, however, on Saturday, Nov. 2, the SOBOs keep on fighting to Milledgeville, whom they had blasted through the team around two weeks ago on their homecoming game.
