Last weekend, six Harlem Roscoe Fire Department recruits graduated from the 18 week Illinois Fire Service Institute Basic Operations Fire Academy. Note the soot on the training center doorways. Rockton River Market is canceled today. Organizers say, "We'll figure out how we can bring Tony Rocker back in a different way. We'll see you on May 28" from 5 - 8 p.m. at Settlers Park.
Village of Roscoe representatives will kick-start the grand opening of Sebastian's Cafe with a ribbon cutting ceremony today at 9:30 a.m. The breakfast-lunch restaurant is in Main Street Square Shopping Center, 5312 Williams Drive in Roscoe.
The Winnebago County Soil & Water Conservation District is selling 55-gallon rain barrels. The collected rainwater is eco-friendly, naturally soft and free of chlorine, making it ideal for watering gardens.
