Rockton mural, success in South Beloit, one year gone

Today's news from Rockton, Roscoe and South Beloit - from the staff of Rockton-Roscoe News.
- Artist Justin Suarez will be painting a new Audubon mural on the side of the Frosted Farmhouse building on 112 Hawick Street in Rockton and you can meet the artist on Saturday, Aug. 16, from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Outside the building, Sinnissippi Audubon will be hosting a tent with a few giveaways, information about the Audubon Mural Project, and free goodies for kids. This mural will be depict the Lesser Yellowlegs, a shorebird which, during migration, is found in places like Nygren Wetland Preserve. Two more murals are being added in South Beloit.
