Memories of the Wagon Wheel, Principal of the Day

- Spring is here and Sunday is the time for Rockton Township Historical Society's annual day of remembering the Wagon Wheel Resort and the impact it had on the Rockton area. Please join us Sunday, Apr 27, 2025, 1 pm at the Rockton Township Historical Society Museum, 529 Green St. Rockton IL, 61072 for another stroll down memory lane. This free presentation by Gary Glaser, Wagon Wheel historian, is open to the public and will include both old and newly discovered memories of the resort. The Museum has numerous articles in their Wagon Wheel collection and new items are added regularly. They are also launching a quilt raffle on Saturday.
- Today's Principal for the Day at Kinnikinnick School is Norah Sturm, who has declared it Pajama Day. The elementary school student pre-recorded the morning announcements as part of her official duties.
