- The Be Kind Crew is creating a Community Kindness Wall this Wednesday at the Rockton River Market from 5 - 8 p.m. at Settlers Park. Music by Sheez-It, courtesy of Brenda Brugger. Landscaping and mowing by the Village of Rockton.
- The driver who was arrested Saturday with two creatively modified guns came up with $1,000 on Monday, enough money to be released from jail in Wisconsin. Joseph III had been fleeing South Beloit police until he crashed north of the state line, after which he and his passenger were taken to the hospital. He is due back in court in Rock County, WI on July 28 to face felony hit and run charges involving injury. He is due in Winnebago County, IL on Aug. 8 to face felony weapons charges, among others.
