In the news
- According to the Beloit Daily News, the City of South Beloit is the winning bidder yesterday in a sheriff's sale for the former Garden Hotel property. Though much of it is in a floodplain and it may have contamination issues, South Beloit City Administrator Sonya Hoppes says the busy intersection is "an entrance to our Stateline Area."
- After serving as Director of Engineering for nine years, Christopher T. Baer, PE, has been appointed Executive Director of Four Rivers Sanitation Authority. Four Rivers provides wastewater treatment services for more than 240,000 people, including the residents of Roscoe, a small part of Rockton, and several unincorporated areas of Winnebago County.
