- To minimize holiday disruption, the Illinois Department of Transportation is reopening some lanes that have been closed for construction, "where possible." Unfortunately, that's not possible on Illinois 2 over the Rock River near Rockton; lane reductions will continue. The holiday public should allow extra time when traveling on Illinois 2, pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and stay alert for workers and equipment. At all times, please buckle and drive sober.
