- Saturday at Roscoe Fall Festival: kiddie parade, karaoke, Dead Man’s Hand, and much more.
- The intersection at McCurry and Love Road, location of many collisions, is becoming a four-way stop. Traffic studies in 2022 brought several improvements, but determined the Love Road intersection wasn’t busy enough to make traffic stop on McCurry Road too. Now Winnebago County Engineer Carlos Molina, a Roscoe resident, says a 4-head red flashing light is on back order, though the posts and wiring have already been installed. He says the lights will be “similar to what you see at the Main St/Bridge St intersection in Roscoe,” which is more obvious than regular stop signs. “Once we have a date, we will install message boards informing the traveling public of the changing condition.” Officials held a public information meeting at Roscoe Village Hall in July to discuss the issue.
