On Saturday, forty-plus Hononegah Football players and coaches arrived on the campus of Rock Valley College to support and cheer on hundreds of cancer survivors and their families and friends for the Making Strides of Rockford walk.

Norm Alpers, A Passionate Patriot and Educator
Norm joined the Army Reserve Program at the University of Illinois, eventually reaching the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. After retiring in 1965, he became a teacher of history and political science at Hononegah.
