Hawks Pointe Trail runs parallel to Old River Road almost from Gleasman Road but not yet as far north as Roscoe Road. Roscoe trustee Justin Plock says that will change after the Village of Roscoe takes ownership of the new section of the road. The paved road currently ends at Goosedown Drive, continuing to Roscoe Road as a unpaved construction entrance for the townhomes being built there. Plock says, "Once the developer has finished and all inspections are complete, the road will be submitted to the board" for approval, probably by the end of the summer. Residents have asked if a stop sign will be added at the intersection with Goosedown Drive. But according to the village engineers’ stop sign analysis, "a stop sign along Hawkspoint Trail is not currently warranted." Research shows that motorists tend to ignore signs that don't seem warranted.
