Rock River Rampage Complete Perfect Season, Claim 2026 NLFL Championship in what was expected to be a more competitive game.
This title continues a long-standing tradition in our region — a lineage of championship-caliber football that stretches across generations and programs.
The Rock River Rampage didn’t just win a championship on Saturday — they cemented a legacy.
On Saturday, July 18, 2026, from the turf at Ripon College, the Rampage closed out an undefeated season with a 38–6 dismantling of the Fox River Raiders, securing their second straight NLFL title and putting an exclamation point on a dominant football season.
The numbers tell the story as loudly as the scoreboard.
The Rampage finished the year 7–0, scoring 320 points while allowing just 8 — not per game, not in the playoffs, but all season. That’s the kind of defensive wall and offensive firepower that doesn’t happen by accident. It’s built with speed and power, as well as schemes and energy, in the huddle is when a team decides it’s going to be great.
Saturday’s championship game was simply the final chapter.
The Rampage controlled the tempo, the trenches, and the tone from the opening whistle. They played fast, physical, and fearless — the brand of football this community has come to expect from its best programs. By halftime, the Raiders were chasing shadows. By the fourth quarter, the Rampage were already etching their names into NLFL history.
And if the rumors are true, the season might not be over.
Word around the team is that the Rampage are looking to line up one more matchup, potentially against the Freeport Lions — a clash that would draw plenty of attention across northern Illinois. Nothing is confirmed, but the idea of an undefeated champion seeking one more test feels exactly on brand for this franchise.
This title continues a long-standing tradition in our region — a lineage of championship-caliber football that stretches across generations and programs. Whether it’s the Macktown Warriors, Junior Indians, South Beloit SOBOs, Hononegah Indians, or the growing world of flag football, Rockton, Roscoe, and South Beloit have always stood for excellence on the gridiron.
The Rampage didn’t just add to that tradition. They elevated it.
Congratulations to the Rock River Rampage — the 2026 NLFL Champions, undefeated, unshaken, and unforgettable.
