Prehistoric Artifact Identification at Macktown Living History

Dr. Rochelle Lurie and avocational archaeologist Peter Czyzewski will explain and illustrate how to locate, identify and record prehistoric artifacts: chipped stone tools and the debris from their manufacture, groundstone artifacts and ceramic sherds. You will learn how and when were these items made, how they were used, and why were they discarded. Want to learn more about artifacts that you have found? Bring them with you, and we'll try to answer your questions!
