Photos: Reading Buddies at Hononegah
Rockton’s youngest students read books with Rockton’s oldest students.
Hononegah English students read books and made bookmarks in the Hononegah Library with Rockton Grade School students on Jan. 29 and 30, 2026, a continuation of the Reading Buddies program between the two schools that happily spans an age gap of about ten years.
Hononegah English classes had previously visited Rockton Grade School Library on October 16-17, 2025, when each high school students read books with a grade school buddy. Rockton Grade School has the district‘s youngest children, with more than 500 pre-K, kindergarten, first grade, and second grade students. Hononegah Community High School has more than 1,700 students in 9th to 12th grade.
