In the news: Easter, home invasion, Quiz Bowl, Camp WockIgo, local history
It's Easter, and Marianne has put together a list of egg hunts nearby. Of course, all the churches are having special services too. What I often imagine is how Jesus's disciples must have felt on "Holy Saturday," knowing that their friend had died on Friday but not knowing what would happen on Sunday. At times like that, chocolate isn't enough. Fortunately, Sunday brings, as Paul Harvey said, "the rest of the story."
The Winnebago County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for leads as they still have no suspects in a home invasion in the 5000 block of McCurry Road in Roscoe. That's near U-Haul, Ozinga, and Roscoe Rock and Sand. No one was hurt during the crime, which happened about 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. If you have any information, please contact them at their non-emergency number at 815-282-2600.
