“I have a diverse background in libraries, starting as an Adult Services Librarian and advancing to roles like Public Library Director.”

“I have enhanced programs, expanded services, and fostered community partnerships. I also navigated the Oregon Public Library District through the COVID-19 pandemic by adapting services and programs.”

“With a master’s degree in library and information Science and experience in strategic planning, community engagement, and program development, I bring a blend of organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

“I am committed to advocating for the library, ensuring it remains an inclusive and valuable resource for residents of all ages and backgrounds. As a parent of children in the Rockton School District and a member of this community, I am dedicated to ensuring that the library continues to meet the needs of local families. I would be honored to contribute to its future success and strengthen its position as a vital community asset,” Lombardo said.

“As a board member, I envision expanding the library’s reach by supporting new programs and services that address the diverse needs of all age groups, backgrounds, and interests. I believe in the importance of creating a welcoming space where individuals can engage with resources for personal growth, education, and connection.”

“I would advocate for the library and its role as a community hub by encouraging partnerships with local organizations and schools to enhance the library’s impact. I also see the potential for increasing community outreach efforts to ensure that everyone is aware of and can benefit from the library’s offerings.”

“I am committed to fostering transparency and accountability in all decision-making processes to ensure the library’s actions align with the community’s best interests. I also strongly believe in upholding free speech and ensuring that the library remains where all voices can be heard and ideas can be freely expressed.”

While I have not served on a board, I have been the beneficiary of this board that has helped progress the Talcott Free Library. I have learned firsthand that this board has significant responsibilities and standards that I want to retain.”

“One of my proudest leadership achievements in the library field was transitioning the Oregon Public Library to a fine-free model, promoting better access for all users.
